Founder, Price Securities in1989. A start-up Investment Banking Firm, licensed by Securities & exchange Commission, and the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Price Securities was also licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1992 to operate as a non-bank deposit taker. In 1992 I raised 10 million naira, for the firm’s capital; at the time the paid up capital of commercial banks in Nigeria was 12 million naira. I raised funds through Private Investment and Boot Strapping. In 1993, I obtain license for a Bureau De Change, from the Central Bank, and which was operated through a subsidiary- PST Bureau De Change. I set the vision and the strategy to achieve it, with milestones and metrics for measuring the achievement. One of the goals was to grow and become a part of a retail banking group through acquisition. From 1994 to 1999, I managed the firm as the CEO and traded actively on the floor of the Stock Exchange. It was in the course of my trading activities that I was approached by IMB, the Issuing House to Savannah Bank’s issue, in 1998 to acquire the underwritten shares from the IPO. I package the acquisition of the banks share, in partnership with strategic investors; and subsequently took up employment in the bank as a Divisional Director of Investment Banking and Management Services. While in Savannah, I set up the HR department, the Internal Control and Management services. Being an old generation bank, I worked with a team of Consultants to re-design the organizational structure and re-engineer the business processes, in line with the modern day organizations.
